Ingredients
  

  • Plant-based ground beef — 1 lb
  • Vegan cheddar cheese — 4 slices
  • Burger buns — 4
  • BBQ sauce — ⅓ cup
  • Olive oil — 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder — 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder — 1 teaspoon
  • Salt — 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper — ½ teaspoon
  • Lettuce leaves — 4
  • Tomato slices — 4

Method
 

  1. Add plant-based ground beef to mixing bowl.
  2. Mix garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper into mixture.
  3. Divide mixture into 8 thin patties.
  4. Place vegan cheddar slice between two patties and seal edges.
  5. Heat skillet with olive oil over medium heat.
  6. Cook stuffed patties 5–6 minutes per side.
  7. Brush BBQ sauce onto patties during final minute.
  8. Toast burger buns lightly.
  9. Place lettuce on bottom bun.
  10. Add stuffed patty and tomato slices.
  11. Cover with top bun and serve.
