Lentil Fritters Appetizer Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • Red lentils soaked: 1 cup (200 g)
  • Onion finely chopped: ¼ cup
  • Green chili minced: 1 small
  • Garlic minced: 2 cloves
  • Cumin seeds: 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder: ¼ teaspoon
  • Salt: ¾ teaspoon
  • Rice flour: 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh coriander chopped: 2 tablespoons
  • Oil for shallow frying: 2 tablespoons

Method
 

  1. Drain soaked lentils and blend into a coarse paste without adding water.
  2. Transfer paste to a bowl and add onion, chili, garlic, cumin, coriander powder, turmeric, salt, and herbs.
  3. Mix rice flour into batter to improve crisp texture.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of mixture and flatten slightly.
  6. Cook fritters 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
  7. Remove and rest briefly before serving.
