Vegan pulled “pork” sliders using shredded jackfruit, smoky spices, tangy BBQ sauce, and soft slider buns.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans young green jackfruit in water or brine 20 oz each, drained and shredded
  • 1 cup vegan BBQ sauce
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 vegan slider buns
  • Optional: vegan coleslaw or pickles for topping

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in skillet; sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  • Add shredded jackfruit, smoked paprika, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour BBQ sauce over jackfruit; stir and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Toast slider buns lightly if desired.
  • Assemble sliders by piling BBQ jackfruit on buns; top with coleslaw or pickles if using.
