Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup vegan butter softened
  • ½ cup coconut oil softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup cane sugar
  • ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup vegan chocolate chips
  • 1 cup soft vegan caramel chunks
  • 1 tsp flaky sea salt for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Beat vegan butter, coconut oil, brown sugar, and cane sugar until creamy.
  4. Add applesauce and vanilla, blending until smooth.
  5. Gradually stir in flour mixture to form dough.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and caramel chunks.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto baking sheet.
  8. Sprinkle each dough ball lightly with sea salt.
  9. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges set and centers soft.
  10. Cool on rack before serving warm.
