  • Sweet potato cooked and mashed — 2 cups
  • Plant-based ground beef — 1 cup
  • Breadcrumbs — ½ cup
  • Olive oil — 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder — 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika — 1 teaspoon
  • Salt — 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper — ½ teaspoon
  • Burger buns — 4
  • Lettuce leaves — 4
  • Tomato slices — 4

Method
 

  1. Add mashed sweet potato to mixing bowl.
  2. Add plant-based ground beef and breadcrumbs.
  3. Mix garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper into mixture.
  4. Stir until evenly combined.
  5. Shape mixture into 4 patties.
  6. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat.
  7. Cook patties 6 minutes per side.
  8. Toast burger buns lightly.
  9. Place lettuce on bottom bun.
  10. Add sweet potato burger patty and tomato slices.
  11. Cover with top bun and serve.
