Turkey Meatloaf Food Recipe

A comforting vegan meatloaf made with plant-based turkey, seasonings, and a tangy glaze baked until tender.

Ingredients
  

  • Plant-based ground turkey — 14 oz
  • Breadcrumbs — ¾ cup
  • Flax egg 1 tbsp flaxseed + 2.5 tbsp water — 1
  • Onion diced — 1 cup
  • Garlic minced — 2 cloves
  • Ketchup — 3 tbsp
  • Soy sauce — 1 tbsp
  • Olive oil — 1 tbsp
  • Italian seasoning — 1 tsp
  • Salt — ½ tsp
  • Black pepper — ¼ tsp
Glaze
  • Ketchup — 2 tbsp
  • Maple syrup — 1 tbsp

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in skillet and cook onion and garlic 3 minutes.
  3. Mix plant-based ground turkey, breadcrumbs, flax egg, cooked onion, ketchup, soy sauce, seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Transfer mixture into loaf pan and shape evenly.
  5. Mix glaze ingredients and spread over loaf.
  6. Bake meatloaf for 35 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and rest 5 minutes.
  8. Slice carefully and serve warm.
