Ingredients

Panna Cotta
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp gelatin powder
  • 2 tbsp cold water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Raspberry Coulis
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Measuring Cups
  • Serving Glasses
  • Refrigerator

Method

  1. Sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes until softened.
  2. Heat cream, milk, and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until warm but not boiling. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove from heat and whisk in bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved. Add vanilla extract.
  4. Pour mixture into serving glasses. Chill in refrigerator for at least 4 hours until set and firm.
  5. For coulis, cook raspberries, sugar, and lemon juice until softened. Blend and strain for smooth texture.
  6. Spoon raspberry coulis over set panna cotta before serving. Keep layers clean for presentation.

Notes

For softer texture, reduce gelatin slightly; for firmer set, increase it. Do not freeze, as texture breaks down. Handle gently when unmolding or layering. Customize flavors with different fruits or extracts. Store covered in refrigerator up to three days for best quality.
