Ingredients
  

  • Plant-based chicken pieces — 14 oz
  • Red bell pepper chopped — 1 cup
  • Zucchini sliced — 1 cup
  • Red onion cubed — 1 cup
Yakitori sauce
  • Soy sauce — 3 tbsp
  • Maple syrup — 2 tbsp
  • Rice vinegar — 1 tbsp
  • Garlic minced — 2 cloves
  • Ginger grated — 1 tsp
  • Cornstarch — 1 tsp
  • Water — 2 tbsp

Method
 

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes.
  2. Thread plant-based chicken, bell pepper, zucchini, and onion onto skewers.
  3. Heat grill pan over medium heat.
  4. Mix soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, water, and cornstarch.
  5. Place skewers on grill and cook 10 minutes, turning occasionally.
  6. Brush sauce onto skewers while cooking.
  7. Continue grilling until lightly caramelized.
  8. Remove skewers from heat carefully.
  9. Serve warm with extra sauce if desired.
