Ingredients
  

  • Plant-based chicken chunks: 350 g
  • Vegan honey alternative agave or maple: ⅓ cup (80 ml)
  • Soy sauce: ¼ cup 60 ml
  • Garlic minced: 4 cloves
  • Tomato ketchup: 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar: 1 tablespoon
  • Cornflour: 1 tablespoon
  • Water: 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper: ½ teaspoon
  • Chili flakes: ¼ teaspoon
  • Sesame oil: 1 teaspoon
  • Spring onions chopped: 2 tablespoons

Method
 

  1. Add plant-based chicken to the slow cooker evenly.
  2. Whisk agave syrup, soy sauce, garlic, ketchup, vinegar, pepper, chili flakes, and sesame oil.
  3. Pour sauce over chicken and stir gently.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours.
  5. Mix cornflour with water and stir into cooker.
  6. Cook another 10 minutes until sauce thickens.
  7. Garnish with spring onions before serving.
