Ingredients
  

For the vegan BBQ “chicken”:
  • 1 lb seitan or tempeh sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup vegan barbecue sauce tangy
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For the pizza:
  • 2 large flatbreads or naan
  • ½ cup caramelized onions
  • 1 cup bell peppers thinly sliced
  • 1 –1.5 cups vegan shredded cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro chopped (optional garnish)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, toss seitan or tempeh with olive oil, barbecue sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread BBQ “chicken” evenly over flatbreads.
  4. Add caramelized onions and sliced bell peppers on top.
  5. Sprinkle vegan cheese generously over the flatbread.
  6. Bake 12–15 minutes until cheese melts and edges crisp.
  7. Remove, garnish with cilantro, slice, and serve warm.
