Lentil-Beef Chili Recipe

A rich, flavorful chili featuring hearty lentils, plant-based beef, warm spices, and a thick, satisfying texture—perfect for cozy nights and easy dinners.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup cooked lentils
  • 200 g plant-based beef crumbles
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp garlic minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup bell peppers diced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp coriander or parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Heat the pot.
  2. Add 1 tbsp olive oil and sauté onions until soft.
  3. Add aromatics.
  4. Stir in 1 tbsp garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  5. Cook the plant-based beef.
  6. Add 200g vegan beef crumbles and cook until browned.
  7. Season boldly.
  8. Add chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  9. Add lentils.
  10. Mix in 1 cup cooked lentils.
  11. Build the base.
  12. Stir in 1 cup tomato puree and ½ cup water.
  13. Add veggies.
  14. Add ½ cup diced bell peppers.
  15. Simmer.
  16. Cook 10–12 minutes until thick and flavorful.
  17. Finish.
  18. Add 1 tbsp lemon juice and fresh herbs.
